JURIED EXHIBITIONS
From 6-8 times a year, Art Saint Louis offers
exhibition opportunities for regional artists* 21 years of age or older residing within
a 200-mile radius of metropolitan St. Louis (*open to members and non-members).
Through juried, curated and invitational group exhibits, we
expand the audience for artists’ works.
Calls
for entries are mailed to members for each exhibition and are posted
on this website. In addition, exhibit opportunities are listed in a variety
of media outlets and online resources.
The duration of each exhibition is 6-8 weeks.
Recent thematic shows include: Forces of Nature; Surfaces; Mapping Memory; Signs of Time; Through the Looking
Glass; Three Things You Should Never Talk About;
and Open Space: Art of the Landscape. Five Awards of Excellence are selected by the jurors for each exhibition.
Our major annual juried exhibition Art
St. Louis, The Exhibition is presented
November and December. Two alternating biennial exhibits are
open to Midwest regional artists residing in 9* states: Fiber Focus (presented in odd-numbered years: 2009, 2011) and New
Works/Nine States (presented in even-numbered years: 2008, 2010). *The 9 states eligible for our biennial exhibits are Missouri, Arkansas, Illionois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
