This multi-media juried exhibit featured artworks that capture, depict, or describe a very brief moment in time, as in “the blink of an eye.”

Jurors: St. Louis artist Bill Barrett, Director, May Gallery, and Professor, Department of Electronic & Photographic Media, School of Communications, Webster University, Webster Groves, MO, and Jane Barrow, St. Louis-based artist, Professor of Art, Painting Area Head, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

From 117 artworks submitted by 69 St. Louis regional artists, jurors Bill Barrett and Jane Barrow selected 60 artworks by 44 artists for this exhibition.

On Saturdays during this exhibition, Art Saint Louis hosted Meet the Artists events wherein featured artists from “Blink” were on-hand in the Gallery to greet visitors and discuss their works in the show. These very casual events were free & open to the public.

Presented concurrently with Blink, "Artists' Day at Circus Flora" was a juried exhibit featuring Plein Air artworks in a variety of media created on June 26, 2010 during a special behind-the-scenes Artists' Day at Circus Flora event. The exhibit was juried by Circus Flora founder David Balding and ASL Gallery Director Robin Hirsch and will be presented in our newly renamed Dion Dion Gallery.

GALLERY & OFFICE HOURS

Art Saint Louis is FREE and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10AM-5PM and Saturday 10AM-4PM. Closed Sundays, holidays, and between exhibits.

The Gallery is currently closed and will reopen on Monday, September 13, 2010 with our new exhibits, "Room With A View" and "Pieced Work."

Art Saint Louis is easily accessible by MetroLink. The Convention Center Station is located at 6th Street & Washington Avenue and is mere steps away from our front door.
